History of RMS Titanic Lifeboat No. 1: A Tale of Tragity and Rescue

Lifeboat No. 1, among 20 lifeboats on the RMS Titanic, held a capacity for up to 40 passengers. Despite this, it was launched with only 12 occupants, mainly crew and first-class passengers. Lifeboat No. 1 became the second lifeboat to reach the RMS Carpathia. Together with the other survivors, the occupants of Lifeboat No. 1 were taken aboard the Carpathia and transported to New York City.
