History of the HMHS Britannic:
The Olympic Class liners were the White Star Line’s answer to the Cunard Line’s Lusitania and Mauretania. The first of the three ships was the RMS Olympic, followed by the ill-fated RMS Titanic, and lastly, the practically forgotten RMS Britannic. Britannic was intended to be the grandest of the three ships, and the greatest ocean liner afloat, but the ship was robbed of that title, never once sailing as an ocean liner and never accommodating a single paying passenger.
